1. Product Strategy & Business Case. You have a promising concept, but no clear, actionable plan your team can execute against.
2. Market Validity. You or your team has strong ideas and opinions, but not enough market insight to confidently define a minimum viable product or build a roadmap grounded in real customer needs. It’s hard to know what’s actually worth or what will move the business forward
3. Product Adoption Problems. You ship features or products, but adoption is low or nonexistent, usually a sign your value proposition isn’t resonating with the customers you’re trying to reach.

After decades leading complex product initiatives inside large tech companies, I now work directly with SMB founders and teams to turn product and service ideas into clear, executable strategies. I bring the experience to cut through complexity and translate it into simple plans that actually drive outcomes.

I use AI to move fast and surface insight, but the strategic calls. However, what to build, what to skip, what to say no to come from judgment built over decades in the room. I’ve brought this AI-enabled approach to business planning to SCORE as a mentor, San Jose State University’s MBA program as a guest speaker, and as a judge for students’ entrepreneurial business plans.

I’ve done this with my own business too. I own and operate Sutara Farms, a small flower farm in Sonoma County, California, built around a simple idea: flowers as the anchor of a bigger ecosystem growers, florists, event partners, consumers and related vendors, not just a crop to sell. I’m applying the same product and business rigor I bring to client work defining the plan, sequencing the launch, deciding what matters first. Sutara is currently in its first launch season.

How an engagement works
